Megan Knowles-Bacon
Megan Knowles-Bacon is 17 and lives in London, England. She belongs to the Magic Circle’s Young Magician’s Club, the Bexley Magic Society, and
the British Ring of the I.B.M. In 2008, she received an S.A.M. scholarship to attend the Sorcerer’s Safari Magic Camp in Canada. In 2009, Megan
earned second place in the Magic Circle’s Young Magician of the Year competition. She is also trained in drama, dance, and art, all of which
enhance her performing skills.
Derek McKee
Derek McKee will turn 16 June 30, the opening day of the convention. The Centennial, Colorado, youth began performing magic when he was six years
old. In 2004 he apprenticed with Richard Nakata at Reinke Bros. Halloween, costume and magic shop in Littleton, Colorado, where he still works
and performs. Derek has won the Lance Burton Award of Excellence, was a finalist at the 2010 World Magic Seminar Teen Stage Competition in Las
Vegas and can be seen in his own Volkswagen commercial.
Reuben Moreland
Reuben Moreland is 16 years old and has been performing magic for 10 years. He lives in New York City and belongs to S.Y.M. Assembly #69 there.
This year, he received the McBride Magic & Mystery School Award and placed second in the World Magic Seminar Teen Stage Competition in Las Vegas.
He performs regularly at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City.
Ian Rich
Ian Rich, 17, of Canton, Massachusetts, has been performing magic for 11 years. A past president of S.Y.M. Assembly #29 in Boston Massachusetts,
he has performed at the Boston Opera House, on the hit PBS TV show, ZOOM, and for the bands Blink-182 and Fallout Boy. He took first place in the
junior close-up division of the New England Magic Competition and is a regular member of the tech crew at Hank Lee’s Cape Cod Magic Conclave.
Jacob Roeber
Jacob Roeber, 16, of Superior, Wisconsin, got hooked on magic when he was four years old and performed his first show when he was five ... for
his kindergarten class. He performs throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin and has been featured on local television. He thanks his mentors John
Bushey and Terry Roses for their help.
Stephen Williams
Stephen Williams, 16, of Liverpool, England, won the title of World Junior General Magic Champion at the Showzam festival in 2008 and holds the
title of Magician of the Year in Close-up and in Stage at the Liverpool Magic Circle. He has performed on the Ken Dodd Happiness Shows and most
recently has been on tour with the Stephen Mulhern Show and Tricky TV Live. Sony selected Stephen to promote its Bravia products on TV in Japan.
Benjamin Zabin
Benjamin Zabin is 11 years old and attends the Greenwich Country Day School in Greenwich, Connecticut. A member of S.Y.M. Assembly #42 in
Stamford, Connecticut, he has been performing magic for nearly eight years at schools, camps, parties and town functions. He also enjoys fencing,
skiing, reading, playing the alto and tenor sax and hanging out with friends. He thanks his S.Y.M. leaders Bill Andrews and Jonathan Krackel, his
family and his S.Y.M. friends for their support.
