  1. Dave Cresey, September 10, 2012:

    Al who ?
Who is this guy,I never heard of him.
He’s not the guy that goes on stage with a wig
And tries to do the Cresey act.
    Never heard of him.
    (MY HERO!)

  2. Brian Suddeth, October 20, 2012:

Anyone who hasn’t heard of Al Cohen hasn’t been in the business long! What Tannen’s was to New York, Al’s Magic Shop was to D.C. Purveyor of Prestidigitation to Presidents and Performers, and Performed with Practiced Perfection! Even the Magic Castle has honored Al!

  3. Ed barry, July 5, 2013:

I shopped at Al’s Magic Shop in the 1950s & 1960s before moving to Arizona. Great shop.

  4. John Meshkoff, November 26, 2013:

I hung out at Al’s in the 1950′s and 1960′s also, almost every Saturday in my younger years; as a curious youngster with an interest in magic and magicians, I’m afraid I was a bit of a young pest, as well as a long-time customer, until leaving home for college. Al was a master at demonstrating the effects, and I remember him performing at our Great Falls, Va., Cub Scout Blue & Gold banquet.
